August 25, 2009

Spent a lovely restful week in the Catskills on Lake Shehawken. I did not talk on the phone, set an alarm, or get into a car for an entire week. It was perfect. Spent lots of time swimming, canoeing, fishing, going on walks through the beautiful lakeside woodland, finding toadstools, salamanders, frogs and snakes, and building fairy houses . We picked loads of wild blackberries, and enjoyed evening fires. I was able to fit in lots of knitting for 2 special babies and play around more with embroidery. I am still in vacation mode now that we have returned home. I feel so restored and relaxed. I hope to carry this feeling through my days as long as I can.
