We were visiting our local art store the other day to pick up some clay. The girls decided they also wanted each a sketchbook. The ones they had picked out were a bit pricey but we decided it was good to support our local shop. It was the best money spent. They got right to work filling up the pages with lovely art work. Hannah’s portraits just warm my heart and Norah’s figures with their extra long legs are the sweetest. They spend time drawing each day, and it is so nice to keep their art work all in one book, and it’s portable too. I put together a basket full of drawing pencils, markers, erasers, and a sharpener so it can travel from room to room, outdoors, and on car rides too. I think we will be revisiting the art store again soon since Hannah’s book is almost full. I plan to label each one with their names and dates so that will all enjoy pulling these sketchbooks out years from now and paging through them.
