10 days at the lake. heavenly. no cell phones. no computers. no alarm clocks.
fishing, swimming, canoeing, cooking, walks, fires, baths, singing, barn sales, sleeping, reading, playing games, bald eagles, blue herons, open fields, farmers haying, open skies, mossy woodlands, leaves beginning to turn, crisp cool nights, full moon. peacefulness.
rainy day.
but managed to:
make a packing list for next week’s vacation
bake some biscuits
hang laundry (inside)
finish knitting one sock
listen to This American Life
pull some weeds in the rain
take a little cat nap
friday night dates are oh so fun. a trip into the city for a little gelato and a few belgium beers = perfect
Summer is here and it has been HOT! But that has not kept us from catching fireflies, eating from the garden, making stepping stones, and learning a new sport. All while trying to keep cool of course.
