What a lovely website, Amy. I haven’t clicked into it before but found it under Lovely Blogs on the side bar from Posie Gets Cozy. I wanted to tell you how excited I was to see the very same Hearts and Flowers stoneware pattern that I have, on the blue plates towards the end of your wonderful photos! I bought a full setting for 10 perhaps 35 years ago. My then little boy and I were driving past a homewares shop in Melbourne (Australia) which was having a sale. Every plate in the set was being sold at $2.00 each. The set has been in constant since then and is still in flawless condition. My now grown son always refers to it as my $2.00 setting!

Rosie, I loved hearing your story behind the stoneware! This pattern was our every day set growing up. There was only one large dinner plate left of the set but I recently found a set of bowls and smaller dishes at the Thrift. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to show my mother. How fun to think that this pattern lives in Australia as well!
Elegant, springtime rooms — I love them. And I love Hannah’s coat, too.

Just found your blog…can’t believe I missed seeing it in the 2012 Country Living magazine blogger contest! What a lovely place! Calming, relaxing, a bit of simplicity, thank you for sharing your home. Realized you live only about 10-15 miles west of me, so I spent “too many hours” looking through past posts!

You’ve posted lovely photos of your holiday. They brought back pleasant memories for me of times past when my child was young. I thank you for that.
