we are eating soup at least two nights a week.
no one has tired of apple desserts yet.
halloween costumes are being planned for (a gypsy and a pumpkin).
bengal spice tea is my new found favorite (with cream).
the first fire has been burned in the fireplace.
i wore tights today.
a pile of wool blankets is at arm’s reach in each room.
the hot water bottle came to bed with us last night.
a bag of candy corn has already been consumed (in one day. by mama.)
our living room has welcomed us back
yes i do believe autumn has arrived.

ooh, that bengal spice with cream (and a tiny bit of maple syrup). Used to be my all time favorite, drinking many cups a day.
It’s sure changing here too all the sudden. I am finally really ready, and sinking right into it.

I adore your kitchen. Can you tell me the name of your calendar?
Rose says
Hey, we have that same calendar and not more than 3 minutes ago I took a picture of my Clark’s desert wings with argyles peeking out. Soup and chewy sourdough on the menu for us tonight.
Kim says
Lovely words. Lovely Photos. Welcome Fall!
anna says
I live in California, fall is here! I wondered about that calendar too.
Alison says
Your fall sounds like it’s rumbling along quite nicely. I would have a fire burning a lot sooner than most folks, but tights are definitely how I gauge when the season has arrived for myself.
